Child Care Providers – SHARE YOUR VOICE!

The Michigan Department of Education is seeking input from child care providers. Please see the request below from Lisa Brewer Walraven, Director of the Child Development and Care Program in the Office of Great Start.

The Child Development and Care (CDC) program helps many Michigan families pay for child care. The child care subsidy payment rates increased in July 2017 because child care providers completed a survey about child care rates.

The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) is conducting another survey in November and needs input from licensed child care providers.  The purpose of the survey is to understand child care prices across the state.  Your information helps even if you do not currently accept child care subsidy payments. The survey will take less than 15 minutes to complete.  All licensed providers who finish the survey will be entered into a drawing for one of ten Visa gift cards.  These are worth $100 each!

If you are interested in participating in the survey, please send an email to ChildCareRateSurvey2017@surveynetwork.com. You will receive a return email that will have instructions on how to take the survey online.

If you have questions about the survey, the survey team can be reached at 1-800-665-8449 or ppa@publicpolicy.com

Thank you for participating and for all you do for children every day!
