Please share information about this research opportunity!
Researchers at Michigan State University and University of Michigan are studying how daily hassles or big stressors affect expectant mothers and their babies once they are born. The MSU Prenatal Stress Study is currently recruiting women who are in the early weeks of their pregnancy.
If you (or someone you know) would like to participate, and you are in the first trimester of your pregnancy, call us and we will tell you more and answer any questions. If you qualify, we can schedule an interview. The interview includes questions about your relationships, the stresses in your life, and the support you have. There are also questions about your mood and your childhood experiences with different stresses. We can interview you at one of three locations (whichever is best for you): East Lansing, Detroit, or Ann Arbor. There is an opportunity to participate in 3 interviews during pregnancy and one after the baby is born. We will pay you for your time for each of these interviews and other activities. For the first interview, you receive $50. You can earn up to $465 for your participation.
