Ingham County Children’s Special Health Care Services is Launching Sibshop!
The first meeting will be held Saturday, April 17th via zoom from 10:00 – 11:30 AM. If you are interested in attending or have questions, please reach out to Holly, Parent Consultant, Children’s Special Health Care Services by sending an e-mail to hsmego@ingham.org or calling (517) 887-4309.
Virtual Sibshops are lively, action packed, hour and half workshops that celebrate the many contributions made by brothers and sisters of kids with special needs. Sibshops acknowledge that being the brother or sister of a person with special needs is for some a good thing, for others a not-so-good thing, and for many, somewhere in between. They reflect a belief that brothers and sisters have much to offer one another – if they are given a chance. The Sibshop models mixes information and discussion activities with new games (designed to be unique, up-beat, and appealing to a wide ability range) and special guests.
Please share the flyer (below) with any interested parents and community partners. Let’s spread the word!
