Sharing from our partners at Ingham County Health Department:
Ingham County Children’s Special Health Care Services is Launching Sibshop!
You are invited to join us February 25th at noon for a zoom outreach meeting to learn more about this amazing program. Virtual Sibshops are lively, action packed, hour and half workshops that celebrate the many contributions made by brothers and sisters of kids with special needs. Sibshops acknowledge that being the brother or sister of a person with special needs is for some a good thing, for others a not-so-good thing, and for many, somewhere in between. They reflect a belief that brothers and sisters have much to offer one another – if they are given a chance. The Sibshop models mixes information and discussion activities with new games (designed to be unique, up-beat, and appealing to a wide ability range) and special guests.
As a community partner serving Ingham County children, we are so excited to share information about this program with you. Please reach out to Holly Smego; Parent Consultant (hsmego@ingham.org) if you are interested in attending, or if you have any questions!
